The Polytechnic Institute of Castelo Branco (IPCB), through its Scientific Repository (RCIPCB), promotes the provision of free access and full text of all scientific output produced by its members. This aim, part of the policy of free access to information / scientific knowledge, will disseminate the scientific production of the IPCB freely and without charge; preserve in digital form its intellectual memory; by sharing scientific and technical knowledge achieved, contributes to the generation of new knowledge; increase the impact of scientific output in academic and research knowledge, increasing the visibility of research results and contribute to strengthening the image of the IPCB as an entity producing science and generating scientific knowledge. In furtherance of the objectives of RCIPCB and without prejudice to the copyright already disposed of to others, it becomes mandatory to deposit in the repository of all documents produced by IPCB members, in accordance with the following criteria: -the entire scientific and technical production of the IPCB. However, access to copyrighted documents must be constrained by the policy of their editors, leaving open only the metadata that describes the documents; -the entire editorial production of the IPCB, regardless of the type of document and support; -the masters dissertations and doctoral theses by signing the statement of approval thereof; -the scientific or technical outputs that have confidential or patentable nature, must be deposited in a way that ensures the safeguarding of the conditions inherent to their nature.
